Am I A Good Person?

HOW DID YOU DO?

If you stood before God today and he judged you by his holy law, would you be allowed into Heaven?

If you are honest with yourself and God, you will quickly see that you are guilty of breaking His laws. The bible clearly tells us that: “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

The real purpose of the law is not for us to prove to God how good we are, but rather, for us to see how sinful we are...."Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin." (Romans 3:20)

God will not tolerate sin. A holy and righteous God cannot tolerate sin in his Heaven, and he won’t. For the wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23)

The apostle Paul recognized the difficulty of our situation when he states: “For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice.” (Romans 7:19) He then goes on to say: “O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?”

Who indeed!

There is only one person who lived a perfect sinless life. His name is Jesus. He is the Christ.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil." (John 3:16-19)

And Jesus said about himself: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6)

So what do you need to do to be saved?

The bible says “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31)

There are no magic words which you must say to be saved. You need to sincerely repent from your sins and put all your faith, hope and trust in Jesus. He has done all the work, you need only to believe in him. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8)

I hope you’ve made the decision to believe in Jesus.

What Now?
